The Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Great Britain will hold its annual pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, known as the “Nazareth of England,” on Saturday, 18 July 2026. The pilgrimage will be led by Mar Joseph Srampickal, and hosted by the Syro-Malabar faithful of the Cambridge Region.

The pilgrimage programme will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Rosary, followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting and other devotional services. A special Marian reflection will be delivered by Rev. Dr. Antony Chundelikkat, Proto-Syncellus of the Eparchy. Priests from across the Eparchy will concelebrate the festive Holy Qurbana.

The organisers have also provided an opportunity for the faithful to support the pilgrimage through their missions or by using the designated QR code.

This year marks the 10th Walsingham Pilgrimage organised by the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Great Britain. Thousands of faithful from across the United Kingdom are expected to participate in what has become one of the largest annual spiritual gatherings of Syro-Malabar Catholics in the country.

The pilgrimage committee warmly invites all faithful to join in prayer and seek the blessings and graces of the Blessed Virgin Mary through her loving intercession.
