Eparchial Women’s Forum Annual Gathering THAIBOOSA

The Eparchial Annual of the Women’s Forum, Thaiboosa 2025, was held at the New Bingley Hall, Birmingham, inaugurated by Mar Joseph Srampickal with the participation of hundreds of women delegates from parishes, missions, and proposed mission centres across the Eparchy. In his inaugural address, the Bishop highlighted the invaluable role of the Women’s Forum in strengthening the Eparchy, nurturing faith formation, transmitting the rich traditions of the Syro-Malabar Church to future generations, and promoting the spirit of the Synod on Synodality within the Eparchy.

Mrs Twinkle Raison, Eparchial President of the Women’s Forum, presided over the  Women’s Forum Gathering. A symposium held as part of the programme featured addresses by Bishop Mar Joseph Srampickal, Very Rev Dr Antony Chundelikkat, Proto-Syncellus, Rev Fr Jose Anchanickal, Chairman of the Women’s Forum Commission, Rev Sr Dr Jean Mathew SH, Director, and speakers Mrs Jolly Mathew, Dr Shincy Mathew, and Mrs Merlin Mathew, who spoke on various contemporary and pastoral themes. Mrs Alphonsa Kurian presented the Women’s Forum annual report, while Mrs Dolly Jose presented the financial report. Mrs Dimple Varghese delivered the welcome address, and Mrs Sheeja Jacob expressed words of gratitude vote of thanks.

Following the gathering sessions, the Holy Qurbana was celebrated with Bishop Mar Joseph Srampickal as the main celebrant. The subsequent programme included the release of the Women’s Forum souvenir highlighting its activities, prize distribution to winners of various competitions, the installation of new office bearers, and vibrant cultural performances by participants from different regions of the Eparchy. Thaiboosa 2025 stood as a powerful expression of faith, unity, and commitment of Syro-Malabar women in Great Britain to the life and mission of the Church.
